Maja Sarihodžić (born in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina), stage name MayaSar, is a Bosnian singer.
Before she started her solo career, MayaSar was a backing vocalist for many famous singers, including Dino Merlin and Tony Cetinski.[1]
Her first single "Nespretno" (Awkwardly) was released in March 2010 and it became big hit in Bosnia & Herzegovina as well as in other neighbouring countries. After that she released a couple more singles, but her first album is yet to be released.
Maya Sar participated on Eurovision as a back vocalist in 2004 and 2011 (both times for the Bosnia and Herzegovina entry).
On December 15, 2011 it was confirmed that MayaSar will represent Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 to be held in Baku, Azerbaijan[2].
